One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 is a One Piece
related video game to be released in Japan for the Sony PlayStation 3
and Sony PS Vita. The game was announced in Shonen Jump magazine as a
sequel to One Piece: Pirate Warriors,
with Namco Bandai and Tecmo Koei teaming up once again to publish it
along with developer Omega Force, a subsidiary of Tecmo Koei
The game will also feature a new Partner system to replace the Crew
Strike system from the first game. After your character builds up a
certain meter they will be able to use a special attack and switch to
playing as their partner.
There will also be a new Haki usage system and Style Change system. Characters with Haki
can activate it to knock out enemies (Haoshoku) enhance the power of
your attacks (Busoshoku) or to instantly chain into combos
(Kenbunshoku).[2]
The style change meter fills up as your character defeats foes. The style changes depending on your character's style type.
You can also earn money in and after completing stages to spend on leveling up characters faster or in an in-game store to buy movies, music and more.
Every playable character in the game has a maximum level of 50,
but you can reach level 100 by clearing 5 levels on very hard difficulty
then buying an item from the store. To raise other characters you must
beat 5 more levels on very hard to unlock an item for one more character
each time untill you have cleared 75 stages on very hard then after
beating all levels on very hard you get the remaining 22 items to allow
you to raise the last 22 characters to 100.
