Beenox, Activision's go-to developer of Spider-Man games, is working on a tie-in game for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Coming spring 2014, alongside the film, the sequel promises to offer "more abilities, more upgrades, more of everything" than the first game offered. Speaking at New York Comic Con,
executive producer Stephane Gravel promised that "we're not retelling
the story from the movie. We're telling our own unique side-story," one
that will include characters from the first game and "new classic
characters from the Marvel universe."
"We're expanding our Manhattan by adding more content and more challenges," Gravel said.
Morality
will play a role in the new Spider-Man game. "If you play like Uncle
Ben taught you, you'll be rewarded... if you don't, you'll have a harder
time playing," Gravel added. In addition, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will
also give you the ability to play as Peter Parker, using his
journalistic skills to progress the story forward.
